My Story

Cassie Gaston - Crafted To Create

My name is Cassie Gaston. I believe that we are all designed to be creators. Whether that is to create books, food, art, laughter, or healthy living, we are designed to use our gifts to create something in and for the world around us.  Read more about what inspired me to start this blog here.

Justin & Cassie Gaston

One of the biggest parts of my life is my incredible husband, Justin. We have been married for a little over two years now and are enjoying life together as we pursue God, each other, and loving others. Being married to a creative is such a fun (and challenging) adventure, but the absolute best! He is an amazing videographer and has his own business called Storyarc.

Another bundle of joy in my life is my sweet puppy Kenobi, Obi for short. (His birthday is on May 4th by the way...may the fourth be with you.) He loves everyone he meets, (well, people that is); and he is learning to be a frisbee dog!

One of my signature crafts is photography. I have been taking pictures for fun since I was 14. I have grown a lot since then and still have a lot to learn, but it's a passion of mine and I have dedicated a portion of my blog specifically to that part of my life, especially since it's my business! You can look at it here.

I have always loved writing. In college, writing papers were simply a fun pastime for me. Naturally, I enjoy using my writing abilities to create clarity and influence change in the lives of others. Though our world is full of people who long to have their voice heard, good and bad, I believe that it is important to genuinely and lovingly make statements on important issues. I think Martin Luther King Jr. said it best,

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.

As a creative, DIY is a huge love of mine. I enjoy making things that make life a little prettier and a lot happier. Being a creator is fulfilling in the sense of pride in your creation and simply enjoying things that make you smile.

Now get to crafting, and check out my blog here for inspiration!
